Just Announced – Here’s what we know about ZoukOut Singapore 2016 right now.
A mainstay in every electronic dance fan’s annual calendar; ZoukOut Singapore announces its return to Siloso Beach, Sentosa this 9th and 10th of December ’16.
Here’s what we know, and what you need to know right now to plan for ZoukOut Singapore this year!
The Line-Up (First Wave)
Already announced amongst the first-wave of DJs lined up are EDM (electronic dance music) heavyweights, Hardwell, Zedd, and Martin Garrix to name a few.
Ranked #2 on the DJ MAG Top 100 DJs of 2015 is Hardwell aka Robbert van de Corput. Born in the Netherlands, the 28th year old also has his own radio show and podcast, Hardwell on Air, which celebrates its 5th Anniversary this year.
No stranger at major music festivals including the likes of Ultra and Tomorrowland, Hardwell has been ranked within the top three of the annual DJ Mag’s top 100 DJs poll every year for the past three years.
At just 20, Martin Garrix has already won the “Best Electronic” awards at the 2015 MTV Europe Awards, and the “Best Guru” award at this year’s MTV Millenials Awards. His ear-worm dance track “Animals“, released when Garrix was just 17, hit double-platinum in 5 countries including the US, Canada and Belgium.
Garrix emerged as #3 on the DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs of 2015 Poll.
2014 was a huge year for Zedd. His EDM hit “Clarity (feat Foxes)” won him the “Best Dance Recording” at the Grammy Awards, and he didn’t stop there. The Russian-German, who just turned 27 a fortnight ago, released “True Colours” in 2015, which went on to win him “Top Dance/Electronic Album” at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards. Here’s a link to the title-track “True Colours” remixed by Felguk.
Zedd is #22 on the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ’s of 2015 Poll.
Who’s that ZoukOut Girl?
Her name is Angie Watkins, and she is the winner of this year’s ZouOut Girl Search. Also known as one of the finalists of Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 4, the 20-year old Chinese Australian is currently signed to Basic Models in Singapore.
