Whisky Live Returns to Singapore with a show more impressive than before
Whisky Live is proud to announce its return to Singapore for its 8th instalment at an all new location. This year at Whisky Live, Nikka is set to unveil its Coffey Gin and Vodka series. It will be Nikka’s first foray into the gin and vodka scene. Fear not whisky fans, there will still be plenty Nikka whiskies to try this year.
The Coffey Spirits
One can expect a powerful punch from the Nikka Coffey Gin given its unabashedly long list of ingredients. The gin is made from 11 botanicals, including a quadruple combination of citrus fruits, namely yuzu, kabosu, amanatsu, and shikuwasa from Japan. Nikka’s Coffey Gin is also made with sansho pepper, juniper, angelica, coriander, lemon peel, orange peel, and apple juice. Through meticulous distilling, one can expect a balance of citrus and herbal notes with heat and spice and a bold bitterness at the end.
The Nikka Coffey Vodka is the purest expression of the Nikka Coffey range. The spirit is attained by blending specifically selected distillate made from corn and barley and then carefully refined through white birch charcoal. The taste is smooth and delicate, thanks to the Coffey-distilled corn and barley spirits.
Whisky Live this year will feature an impressive line up of over 50 brands and 150 expressions of whiskies and spirits. There will also be a cocktail and food trail with cocktail booths featuring different spirits. This year on its 8th instalment, Whisky Live promises an experience more immersive and expansive than before.
This year, Whisky Live Singapore is held at the grounds of Theatreworks, a pre-war a heritage building on Mohamed Sultan Road. Accentuating the expression of art, Whisky Live Singapore will have an art gallery to showcase whisk(e)y and spirit art. These exhibits include themes such as label designs, marketing art to bottle craft. The exhibition will feature interesting exhibits from well-known creatives of the industry such as Stranger & Stranger, Neisson and Velier.
“Whisky Live Singapore has been hugely successful among whisky aficionados in the region. We are constantly looking into ways to alleviate the experience.” comments Mr. Mathieu Musnier, General Manager at La Maison du Whisky. With the theme of ‘Rare, Share, Pair’; Whisky Live brings to life an immersive experience. Guests will not only be able to savour the taste of fine spirits, but also a coup d’oeilof the creativity and genius behind the brands.
