The Podium Lounge 2017 – Singapore’s Most Star Studded Grand Prix Party
Happing from September 15th – 17th, get your party gear on as the Podium Lounge returns to The Grand Ballroom of the Ritz Carlton, Millenia Singapore. In its 9th consecutive year in Singapore, this sold-out, celebrity packed event will see The Grand Ballroom at the Ritz Carlton transformed into a glamorous ultra lounge featuring a dizzying overhead catwalk and VIP balconies.
The Podium Lounge is a notable event highlight of the 2017 Grand Prix Season Singapore, and is the place to be for race fans wanting to mingle with race legends. Over the years, The Podium Lounge has played host to Formula 1 drivers, Royalty, celebrities, ambassadors, supermodels and Asia’s jet-setting party elite each year.
Guests will be entertained by Formula 1 Legend Giancarlo Fisichella who will be DJing and hosting the drivers, celebrity guests and performers.
Friday the 15th will feature British model and rising star Pixie Geldof , who will be DJ-ing in Singapore for their very first time. Pixie’s previous performances include that of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. Probably the hottest DJ on the global fashion circuit right now, Pixie has made annual appearances at both the London and New York Fashion Weeks.
On Saturday 16 September, American rapper and Grammy Award winner Coolio will headline at the Podium Lounge. A multiple rap and hip hop music award winner, Coolio is the hot act not to be missed.
On the final night, Grammy Award winning artist Macy Gray will perform her Multi-Platinum hits and also DJ, following the trackside action. Macy Gray is best known for her international hit single “I Try“, taken from her debut album On How Life Is.
A Party for the Stars
The Podium Lounge has always been a party haven for celebrities. With its amazing location, many A-list celebrities have graced the Podium Lounge. Most noteworthy celebrities include that of Gordon Ramsay, Kim Kardashian, Hodor (Kristian Nairn), Amir Khan, Sasha Grey and more. The Podium Lounge, right besides VIP Gate 10 will once again be the place to spot the stars of the Racing Community.
Art at The Lounge
This year, The Podium Lounge is thrilled to welcome Sundaram Tagore Gallery. The Gallery will present Primary Source, an exhibition by famous contemporary artists from both Asia and the West. This presentation focuses on work by internationally acclaimed artists such as Hiroshi Senju, Miya Ando, Kim Joon and more.
The Podium Lounge also welcomes world famous speed painter Armin Flossdorf of F1 Arts. He will be performing live throughout the weekend. Consequently, Armin specializes in Formula 1 Art using his eye-catching technique of combining acrylics and pencil on canvas. Armin has exhibited at the very highest levels of motorsport events around the world.
In addition, He will be joined by Paul Oz, an explosive portrait artist from the UK. Paul’s work focuses on the maximum 3D impact and energy in thick oil paint. Paul has also created work personally for celebrites such as Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Sir Jackie Stewart, Bruno Mars.
Fast Cars & Private Jets Reign Supreme
Finally, as part of the debut of the Lamborghini Aventador S in Singapore, The Podium Lounge will be showcasing 3 of the next generation Aventador super sport cars throughout the venue this year. Following that, WingsOverAsia, will also showcase one of their latest aircrafts within their outdoor VIP experience at The Podium Lounge.
